The CBT – Compulsory Basic Training – is an introduction to motorcycling. The training consists of 5 parts of training that is progressively completed through the day.
Completing your 'Compulsory Basic Training', CBT test, will allow you to ride any scooter, moped, electric motorbike, 50cc moped or 125cc motorbike of your choice.
Theoretically, you cannot 'pass or fail' your CBT Test. The real question to ask here is if you are safe to ride on the road unaccompanied or if you would need further training before you receive a CBT test certificate - It is designed to provide you with the riding skills that you will need. Successfully complete your CBT and you will be legally entitled to ride on the road. Without your CBT Certificate, you will not be able to ride.
Our one day course is split into five parts:
- Element A: Eyesight test and introduction
- Element B: On-site training
- Element C: Onsite riding
- Element D: On-road training
- Element E: On-road riding
